Our juice is not filtered, but enters naturally into the pack as it is pressed from the fruit. Fruit juice expert Höllinger is well-known and popular for its Styrian apple juice. The beverage brand, led by Managing Director Gerhard Höllinger, is investing heavily and expanded its apple juice tank farm in Styria in October 2021. The 50 storage tanks can hold up to 1,8 million liters of apple juice. The investment totaled approximately €1,1 million. Adjustments to logistics processes have also reduced transport distances within the supply chain.
In cooperation with Ribes Frucht & Saft KG, which is based in the idyllic St. Stefan ob Stainz, the Styrian apple juice is produced entirely in the region. Farmers deliver their fruit directly to where the entire annual amount of apple juice is pressed during the harvest in autumn and stored in the new tanks until bottling.
The new system impacts several areas of the supply chain and modifies existing transport and logistics processes. This allows for adjustments to transport routes within the regional collaboration. According to internal estimates, this will result in potential changes to transport emissions, which could amount to approximately 115.000 kilograms of CO₂ per year. The transition is part of the ongoing development of our production and logistics processes.
